Chacewater Parish Council is committed to delivering significant community improvements through capital projects that benefit the whole community. These developments involve extensive planning and strong collaboration between the Council, working groups, local volunteers, and external partners.

Community engagement is at the heart of these projects. Dedicated working parties include residents and stakeholders who contribute their time, expertise, and ideas to ensure the projects reflect local needs and aspirations. Volunteering plays a vital role in supporting the delivery and success of these initiatives.

Funding for these major projects comes from a range of sources, including Cornwall Council, National Lottery grants, and other charitable and governmental organisations. The council works hard to secure and manage these funds responsibly to maximise the impact for Chacewater’s residents.

Through this collaborative approach, we aim to create lasting infrastructure and facilities that enhance vitality, sustainability, and quality of life throughout Chacewater Parish.

Parish Developments Masterplan

A conceptual masterplan for civic and community developments in the Parish has been evolving organically over the last couple of decades. This has now identified three distinct development areas:

  • Primary Parish facilities located in Chacewater Village, and focused around the intersection of Church Hill and Falmouth and Twelveheads Roads, including parking, meeting, play and leisure facilities.
  • Secondary Parish facilities located in Twelveheads Village, including meeting, play and leisure facilities.
  • Leisure and outdoor facilities located at Wheal Busy, including public rights of way, observatory and outdoor leisure activities.
