Formal meetings of Chacewater Parish Council are meetings held in public. Members of the public are warmly welcome to attend and observe proceedings, and a period for public participation is provided during Public Question Time at the beginning of each meeting.

Public participation allows residents and organisations to raise matters or make comments to the Council. Following this session, the remainder of the meeting is formal Council business conducted by elected councillors in accordance with local government law, Standing Orders and the Council’s Code of Conduct.

Chacewater Parish Council holds ordinary Full Council meetings typically on the last Wednesday of each month in the Killifreth Room, Chacewater Village Hall

Extraordinary Planning meetings are held as required to deal with planning applications and typically take place mid-month at Chacewater WI Hall

Agendas for forthcoming meetings are published in advance on our website. Please contact the Parish Clerk for more information.

The Annual Parish Meeting is a public meeting of the electors of the parish, held in April each year. It is an opportunity for residents, community organisations and local representatives to discuss matters affecting the community and hear about local activities and initiatives.

Unlike an ordinary Parish Council meeting, the Annual Parish Meeting is intended to encourage wider public discussion and community engagement.

Dates for other meetings that are not held in public, such as working parties, task-and-finish groups, and project meetings, may also be published for the purposes of transparency.

For certain meetings, such as working parties, members of the public can apply to observe or participate.
