The Annual Parish Meeting is a meeting of the parish, not a meeting of the Parish Council. It provides an opportunity for residents, community groups, local organisations and the Parish Council to come together, share information and discuss matters affecting the community.
Every parish in England must hold an Annual Parish Meeting each year between 1 March and 1 June.
Who can attend?
Anyone is welcome to attend the meeting.
All residents of the parish are encouraged to take part, and local organisations, community groups, charities and volunteers are often invited to contribute.
Only local electors have the right to vote on any matters that may be put to a vote.
How is it different from a Parish Council meeting?
