Update on Parish Councillor vacancies

Chacewater Parish Council currently has vacancies for the position of Parish Councillor.

Notices of Vacancy for three councillors in Chacewater Ward and one in Twelveheads Ward were published by Cornwall Council on 5 February 2026. After fourteen working days, Chacewater Parish Council was legally able to co-opt applicants to the vacant positions.

Applications are still open for these positions. All applications received on or before 17:00 on Friday, 27 March 2026, will be considered by Councillors at the next Full Council Meeting on Wednesday, 29 April 2026.

A further Notice of Vacancy for two councillors in Chacewater Ward has been published by Cornwall Council today. If there is no request for a by-election by 13 April 2026, Chacewater Parish Council will open these two positions to applications for co-option. Applications for those two positions would likely be considered at the Full Council Meeting in May.
